The Community Centre, which is owned by Stanstead Parish Council and managed by a Board of Volunteers, has recently been redecorated in 2024. It operates as a Community Hub for Stanstead Village offering a hall for private hire (up to eighty people), kitchen, accessible toilets including baby changing facilities, car parking, outside patio area and access to a Children's play area. The Hall can be hired for exercise classes, meetings and children's birthday parties.
The Community Centre became a registered Community Interest Company on 7th August 2025, changing it's name to Stanstead Village Community Centre & Social Club C.I.C.
The Centre has a licensed bar for Members and their Guests which is open on Thursdays from 7pm, Fridays from 5pm, Saturdays from 6pm and on Sundays from 3pm.
The Centre has a Pool Table, a Snooker Table, Darts Board and a Table Tennis Table. There is a Village snooker team that meets on a regular basis (Thursdays).
There are weekly Pilates classes - Wednesdays from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and Thursdays from 10am to 11am - contact Lisa on lisa@aurarphoto.com.
The Community Centre has recently joined the Rural Coffee Caravan's Meet Up Mondays initiative to tackle social isolation although we host this on a Sunday between 3pm & 6pm.
There are regular food vans, monthly Bingo sessions and Quiz nights alongside social events for Members.
The Centre is also the location for the Village bottle bank, a textile recycling bank and defibrillator.
