The Community Centre, which is owned by Stanstead Parish Council and managed by a Board of Volunteers, has recently been redecorated in 2024. It operates at the heart of the Village as a Community Hub for Stanstead Village offering a hall for private hire (up to eighty people), kitchen, accessible toilets including baby changing facilities, car parking, outside patio area and access to a playing field and Children's play area. The Hall can be hired for sports activities, exercise classes, family celebrations, fundraising events, meetings and community groups.

The Community Centre became a registered Community Interest Company on 7th August 2025, changing it's name to Stanstead Village Community Centre & Social Club C.I.C.

The Community Centre has a licensed bar for Members of the Centre and their Guests, offering a welcoming space to relax and catch up with friends. The bar is open on Thursdays from 7pm, Fridays from 5pm, Saturdays from 6pm and on Sundays from 3pm. If you wish to join the Community Centre as a Member, which allows for the bar facilities to be used, details are available on the membership page. The Centre is the focus of many Village activities and events throughout the year. By using the Centre you are helping to keep it alive and thriving for future generations.

The Centre has a Pool Table, a Snooker Table, Darts Board and a Table Tennis Table. There is a Village snooker team that meets on a regular basis (Thursdays).

There are weekly Pilates classes - Wednesdays from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and Thursdays from 10am to 11am - contact Lisa on lisa@aurarphoto.com.

The Community Centre has recently joined the Rural Coffee Caravan's Meet Up Mondays initiative to tackle social isolation although we host this on a Sunday between 3pm & 8pm.

There are regular food vans, monthly Bingo sessions and Quiz nights alongside other social events for Members and their Guests.

The Centre is the location for the Village bottle bank, a textile recycling bank and defibrillator. The Mobile Community Library also stops at the Centre every four weeks, dates are on the events page and in the Contact magazine.

Thank you to Stanstead Parish Council and our funders below for their support,
