Annual Parish Meeting
The Local Government Act 1972 makes it statutory for every English parish to hold an Annual Parish Meeting (also known as the “Annual Village Meeting”).
The purpose of the meeting is to give residents of the village an annual opportunity to discuss parish matters. In addition, local organisations and community groups are able to update the village on their activities and answer parishioners’ questions.
This meeting is convened and chaired by the Chairman of Stanstead Parish Council, but it is not a meeting of the Parish Council.
Everyone who appears on Stanstead’s Electoral Register may speak and vote at this meeting.
The Agenda is available to download here.
